Robinhood Weather and Temperature Markets

Robinhood's temperature markets are ForecastEx contracts: a daily high (UH) and low (UL) in each of 23 cities and hourly (HRU) contracts in 5, settled on Weather Underground. They are not Kalshi markets.

What Robinhood lists

ForecastEx is the exchange and Robinhood is a broker. Robinhood's weather contracts are ForecastEx's, named by product: UH plus the station code for a daily high, UL for a daily low and HRU for an hourly temperature.

  • Daily high and low. 46 products, a high and a low for each of 23 cities, such as UHLGA and ULLGA for New York. High contracts ask whether the day's highest temperature will exceed a strike, low contracts whether the lowest will be below one, with strikes 1 °F apart.
  • Hourly. Listed since September 23, 2026, New York first, and now for Las Vegas (HRULAS), Los Angeles (HRULAX), Miami (HRUMIA), New York (HRULGA) and San Francisco (HRUSFO): 7 contracts an hour, each asking whether the station will exceed a temperature as of the hour, Central Time. See Robinhood hourly temperature markets.

A contract ID adds the date and the strike to the product: UHLAX_101626_100 is the Los Angeles high above 100 °F on October 16, 2026. On a minuteTemp city page, pick Robinhood in the market toggle to use the station its contracts settle on.

How Robinhood temperature markets settle

Daily high and low contracts settle on the Weather Underground Daily Observations table for the named station and date: the highest temperature shown for highs and the lowest for lows, over the station's local calendar day. A day is final once the first observation of the next day is published, and settlement is normally no later than the day after expiration. Gaps in the day's observations are not filled in: the published table counts as it is. The rules are ForecastEx's Daily Temperature Contract Terms, which every daily product links.

Hourly: Each hour T settles on the last observation for the station in the hour before T, that is after T − 60 minutes and up to T, as Weather Underground's daily observations page publishes it in whole °F. If Weather Underground has no observation, ForecastEx uses the NWS time series for the station. The contract resolves once Weather Underground publishes the first observation after T.

Not the same as Kalshi

Kalshi's daily markets settle on the official high or low for the station's NWS climate location as reported by The Weather Company (then the National Weather Service), not on Weather Underground, and in Denver and New York they read a different station. Denver's ForecastEx contracts (UHBKF, ULBKF) settle on Buckley Space Force Base (KBKF); Kalshi's Denver markets settle on Denver International (KDEN). New York's ForecastEx contracts (UHLGA, ULLGA) settle on LaGuardia Airport (KLGA); Kalshi's New York markets settle on New York City Central Park (KNYC). See how temperature markets settle.

Interactive Brokers

IBKR lists the same ForecastEx daily contracts, under the same tickers and rules, plus New Orleans (UHMSY, ULMSY), which Robinhood does not list. IBKR also lists some Kalshi contracts; those follow Kalshi's rules, not the ones above. See IBKR temperature markets.

Robinhood weather markets FAQ

What is UHLAX?
UHLAX is the ForecastEx daily high temperature product for Los Angeles, listed on Robinhood and IBKR. Each contract is one strike on one day: UHLAX_101626_100 asks whether the highest temperature at KLAX will exceed 100 °F on October 16, 2026. It settles on Weather Underground's Daily Observations table for Los Angeles International (KLAX). The daily low product is ULLAX.
What is ULLGA?
ULLGA is the ForecastEx daily low temperature product for New York, listed on Robinhood and IBKR. Each contract asks whether the lowest temperature at LaGuardia Airport (KLGA) will be below a strike on one day, and settles on the Weather Underground Daily Observations table for KLGA. The daily high product is UHLGA.
How does HRULGA settle?
HRULGA is Robinhood's hourly New York product on LaGuardia Airport (KLGA): 7 contracts an hour, each asking whether KLGA will exceed N °F as of the hour, Central Time. Each hour T settles on the last observation for KLGA in the hour before T, that is after T − 60 minutes and up to T, as Weather Underground's daily observations page publishes it in whole °F. If Weather Underground has no observation, ForecastEx uses the NWS time series for the station. The contract resolves once Weather Underground publishes the first observation after T.
Do Robinhood temperature markets settle on Weather Underground?
Yes. Hourly contracts settle on the last Weather Underground observation in the hour before the stated time. Neither uses the NWS Daily Climate Report (CLI).
Is Robinhood weather Kalshi?
No. Robinhood's temperature contracts are listed by ForecastEx, the exchange; Robinhood is the broker. They are not Kalshi markets: they have their own tickers (UH, UL and HRU), settle on Weather Underground rather than on the official NWS climate-location value Kalshi takes from The Weather Company, and in Denver and New York read a different station than Kalshi. Kalshi's markets are on Kalshi and Coinbase.
Does Robinhood's Denver market use Buckley (KBKF)?
Yes. Robinhood's Denver contracts, UHBKF and ULBKF, settle on Buckley Space Force Base (KBKF), not Denver International (KDEN), which Kalshi's Denver markets use. The two stations can record different highs and lows on the same day.
Does Robinhood NYC use LaGuardia or Central Park?
LaGuardia. Robinhood's New York contracts (UHLGA, ULLGA, HRULGA) settle on LaGuardia Airport (KLGA). Kalshi's New York daily markets settle on New York City Central Park (KNYC), so the same day can settle on two different highs.
Does Interactive Brokers list the same temperature contracts?
Yes. IBKR lists the same ForecastEx daily contracts, under the same tickers and rules, plus New Orleans (UHMSY, ULMSY), which Robinhood does not list. IBKR also lists some Kalshi contracts; those settle by Kalshi's rules.
Which cities have Robinhood temperature markets?
Daily high and low in 23 cities (Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New York, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Antonio, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C.), and hourly in Las Vegas (HRULAS), Los Angeles (HRULAX), Miami (HRUMIA), New York (HRULGA) and San Francisco (HRUSFO).
