Robinhood Hourly Temperature Markets
Robinhood's hourly temperature contracts are ForecastEx's: 5 cities, 7 strikes an hour, each asking whether one airport station will exceed N °F as of the hour, Central Time.

How an hour settles
Each hour T settles on the last observation for the station in the hour before T, that is after T − 60 minutes and up to T, as Weather Underground's daily observations page publishes it in whole °F. If Weather Underground has no observation, ForecastEx uses the NWS time series for the station. The contract resolves once Weather Underground publishes the first observation after T.
- “Exceed 70°F” needs 71°F or more in whole degrees. It is the last observation in the window, not the hour's high or average.
- Each hour trades only in roughly its final 60 minutes.
- The hour in the contract is Central Time for every city.
Not Kalshi's hourly index
Kalshi's hourly markets in New York, Los Angeles and Miami settle on the Kalshi Weather Index, an average of several stations. Robinhood's settle on one station, so the two can settle differently in the same hour. See Kalshi hourly temperature markets.
